I think partly it is because their digital market & how they handle their hard core fanbases is so different. Also, I refuse to get into jpop/jrock even though it is so tempting because it's so damn hard to buy, and I don't usually *want* the physical CD unless I stan the band really, really hard.

At least the major kpop companies have started putting stuff on itunes US....
