first official setback (non-major)

I went in for chemo today, started the usual routine - take blood test, wait an hour for them to come back and get the go-ahead and ... didn't get the go-ahead. Apparently my white blood cell count is too low, so I get to come back next week and try again, and once I am cleared for chemo they'll add a neulasta injection that should help keep that up. (I don't actually know why they didn't do that last time, as they did do that the first time.)

They said it wasn't something I needed to freak out about; that is not actually stopping me from freaking out. I've mostly been dealing with the possibility of being on the wrong side of the survival statistics by going "la la la la la I can't hear you" and this makes that a little harder to do.
